The pot for "Qarabag" in the next round draw, which will start its fight in the Champions League from the II qualifying round, has not yet been determined.
Idman.biz reports that the future fate of the Aghdam club, which will be in the seeded pot in the first draw of the season, depends on the identity of the champion of three countries.
The draw for the III qualifying round will be held on July 21. This will take place before the II qualifying round.
12 pairs from the previous round will participate in the draw. These pairs will be placed in the pot based on the coefficient of the higher-rated team.
The pair with 6 rated teams will be seeded. Three of them have already been clarified. The pairs in which "Crvena Zvezda" and "Slovan" will be placed will be in the pot of strong teams. Although the Danish champion has not yet been determined, the pair of either "Copenhagen" or "Midtjylland" will be seeded.
The other three teams here have not yet been clarified. "Qarabag", who secured the championship, is the 1st among those who achieved this and are candidates for the seeded pot.
But the champion of three countries can still push the Azerbaijani representative out of this pot. These are Zagreb "Dinamo", Tel Aviv "Maccabi" and "Ferencvaros".
Currently, only the latter are leading in Hungary with a 3-point advantage. "Dinamo", which is second in its country, is 1 point behind, and "Maccabi" is 3 points behind. The failure of one of them to become a champion will make "Qarabag" seeded.
It should be noted that the II qualifying round, in which all these teams will start fighting, will be held on July 22-23 and 29-30.
