Rauf Guliyev, the president of the "Fuzuli" Football Club, who was arrested last year, has been sued again.
Idman.biz reports with reference to prosport.az that this is due to his name being mentioned in another fraud case.
The plaintiff stated in his explanation that in March 2024, while searching for a house on the social network "TikTok", he saw apartment photos shared by a person who introduced himself as Elnur.
Elnur stated that the land in that area currently belongs to a person named Elchin. In order to buy the house, the plaintiff met at the place indicated by Elnur and approached the office of Jeyhun Fattahov and Rauf Guliyev.
During the conversation, Rauf Guliyev gained the plaintiff's trust by telling him that he was the president of the "Fuzuli" football club, a rich and famous person, and a person who constantly appeared on television channels.
With the latest decision of the Saatly District Court, it was decided to take 17,500 manats from Rauf Guliyev and 2,500 manats from Jeyhun Fattahov in connection with the mentioned fraud and give it to the plaintiff.
By the verdict of the court in June of last year, Rauf Guliyev was sentenced to 3 years and 10 months of imprisonment.
According to the indictment, he took money from several people under the pretext of getting them a job, saying that he had a business reputation and connections with officials.
Rauf Guliyev was also accused of fraud by deceiving several citizens with the promise of building a house.
