Although Farid Namazov's contract as the head coach of "Imishli", which will compete in the Misli Premier League next season, has expired, there is still no clarity on the name of the new coach.
Idman.biz reports that the club's acting director, Agshin Mursalov, made a statement to QOL.az about this.
He said that they are negotiating with several experts: "We are negotiating with Portuguese, Turkish, English experts and two local coaches. The board of directors will come together after June 20. Then the final decision will be made."
The club official denied reports that they had reached a preliminary agreement with Portuguese expert Christian Souza, who does not have a Pro category: "We have not negotiated with the coach you mentioned. We are negotiating with other coaches. All of them are PRO category coaches. Only Farid Namazov is currently studying for the Pro category. We are not thinking of bringing in a head coach outside of the Pro category."
Mursalov also answered the question about whether they will hold home games at the Imishli city stadium, which is not fully ready for the Premier League, or at another arena: "There is no exact word about the stadium. We are waiting for AFFA to support the legal issues of the stadium. Thank you, they said that they will provide support in this regard. We represent Imishli. Our goal is to hold our home games in our home stadium. We may also temporarily hold our home games in other stadiums. Note that this will be temporary. Like other clubs, we think we have the right to use it."
