"Imishli" head coach Jorje Kashkilya commented on the game they lost to "Sabah" with a score of 1:2 in the 1/8 final of the Azerbaijan Cup. Sport24.az reports that he said at the press conference held after the match:
- My team played well. I was especially satisfied with the first half. We controlled the ball and applied high pressing. Unfortunately, we couldn't take advantage of our goal chances. If we had scored first, the game could have been different. I congratulate "Sabah" for the first goal they scored from a standard situation - they did their homework well. This goal confused my team a bit, but we quickly recovered. My team is characteristic. At the end of the match, we managed to score a goal and take the game to extra time. "Sabah" is a strong team with good performers. Their second goal came after Parris's individual episode. Both teams deserved to advance to the next stage, but we were out of the fight.
– Everyone was talking about "Imishli" since the beginning of the season. But after two consecutive defeats to "Sabah", can we say that the team's "fairy tale" is over? Or will you be able to recover again?
– These were important games, but they will not have a negative impact on my team. Despite the defeats, we played well and competed well. We will look ahead."
– Will the club strengthen in winter?
– We would like to strengthen the team, but it is difficult to find good players at this time. We are not among the giants of the Premier League and we do not have great financial capabilities.
