"Imishli" secured a spot in the Premier League. Considering that another representative of this region, "MKT-Araz," once played in European cups, the club was immediately entrusted to a foreigner. We cannot say whether Portuguese Jorge Casquilha was invited to elevate Imishli's namesake representative to the top or simply for PR purposes.
An interesting idea was put forward in our editorial office. My colleagues reasoned, "The legionnaire limit has been abolished, and they still think it's about foreign coaches." I don't want to believe it, but there is some truth in every joke.
So what if the team doesn't have a home field to play their home games on!? The main thing is that there is a foreign head coach, which has been resolved. "Sabah," "Turan," and "Gabala" are big enough to employ foreigners, but it's not allowed when it comes to "Imishli"? Of course, it is allowed! So what if no one has been interested in the Portuguese fellow brought to "Imishli" since he last coached a III League representative in his homeland?! Now that he works in "Imishli," he will be in the spotlight of top clubs in Italy, Spain, and England, you'll see!
The nation doesn't know what to do out of envy. I think we are on the verge of historical victories. Now a lot depends on the next steps of the "Imishli" leadership. If they manage to bring a masseur from Barbados and an operator from the Sahara Desert, believe me, "Qarabag" will lose the championship crown next season.
In short, wait and see, now your "gaga" will rock!
