Hosting the final stage of the U-20 World Cup in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan is a shared historic achievement that will connect Europe and Asia. Sport24.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev stated this in an interview with the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan (UzA).
"There are also good results in sports cooperation. Thanks to the joint efforts of the two countries, the FIFA Executive Committee decided to organize the final stage of the 2027 U-20 World Cup in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. This is a shared historic achievement that will connect Europe and Asia," he noted.
It should be noted that the World Cup will be held in two countries in 2027.
