"That's absolutely right. The opponent started the second half well."

This was stated by "Neftchi" defender Igor Ribeiro in an interview with qol.az.

We present that interview.

- You defeated "Sumgayit" 3:1 in the 26th round of the Misli Premier League. How would you comment on the victory?

- It was a difficult game. We knew it would be like that from the beginning. Because trips to Sumgayit are always difficult. But we also have a good team, we are a strong team. We worked hard all week and won.

- The opponent started actively in the second half and equalized the score. Can we say that the goal scored by "Sumgayit" woke up "Neftchi"?

- That's absolutely right. The opponent started the second half well. We conceded an unexpected goal. Only after that we woke up. We reacted well to the goal we saw in our goal and immediately took the lead again.

- To what extent did the rain affect the game?

- We have all been playing football for a long time. Therefore, we are ready for such situations.

- "Neftchi" is already fifth in the tournament table. How do you assess the chances of European Cups?

- Difficult games await us ahead. We will prepare for each match. Now we are not thinking about European Cups, but only about the upcoming match. I believe that we will achieve our goal from game to game.

- As you mentioned, "Neftchi" has 4 difficult games ahead - against "Araz-Nakhchivan", "Zira" and 2 matches with "Qarabag". How ready is your team for this busy schedule?

- "Neftchi" is always ready for every game. We will prepare for these matches with all our strength and seriously.

- How many points to be gained in these 4 matches will satisfy you?

- It is difficult to say specific points. Because each match will be difficult. We will do our best to score as many points as possible and get a little closer to the goal.
