If Joan Laporta is not re-elected as club president, Barcelona's head coach Hans-Dieter Flick may leave the club. Insider Florian Plettenberg reported this on his social media page, according to Sport24.az.
According to the source, the German coach is interested in extending his contract with Barcelona. Flick loves the city, the club, and the fans. However, the coach ties his future to Joan Laporta's position in the Catalan club and wants to shape the team's strategy together with him.
If Laporta is not re-elected as Barcelona president on March 15, Flick's departure from the club is possible either in the summer or after his contract expires in 2027.
It should be noted that Barcelona leads the league table with 64 points after 26 rounds, four points ahead of Real Madrid.
