Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye has become the third player in the Premier League since 2000 to be sent off for a foul on a teammate. This was reported by the Opta portal, according to Sport24.az.
In 2005, Newcastle players Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer were sent off in the 82nd minute of the game against Aston Villa, and in 2008, Stoke City forward Ricardo Fuller was sent off for a foul on Andy Griffin.
It should be noted that the 36-year-old Gueye was sent off in the 13th minute of the game against Manchester United after a collision with defender Michael Keane. Gueye's action was assessed as a clear punch to his teammate's face.
