The Iceland national football team wants to win the qualifying match of the DÇ-2026 against the Azerbaijani national team. Sport24.az reports that this was said by the team's head coach Arnar Gunnlaugsson at a press conference before the match.
He shared his thoughts on the match to be held tomorrow:
"I won't say it's a matter of life and death. We have great ambitions. We must win the match against Azerbaijan. We must put pressure on ourselves."
He added that the players are focused on the meeting:
"Everyone is incredibly calm. The trainings went fantastically. The field is also magnificent. I think the level of excitement is right. I really have good feelings for the next match."
