The Icelandic national football team wants to win the qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup against the Azerbaijani national team.
A staff member of "Report", who was dispatched to Reykjavik, reports that the team's head coach, Arnar Gunnlaugsson, said this at a press conference before the match.
He shared his thoughts on the match that will take place tomorrow:
"I won't say it's a matter of life and death. We have big dreams. We have to win the match against Azerbaijan. We have to put pressure on ourselves."
It should be noted that the Iceland-Azerbaijan match will start on September 5 at 22:45 Baku time.
