Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate wants the English Premier League to follow the example of the French Ligue 1 and postpone games for teams competing in the decisive stages of the Champions League. Sport24.az reports that the experienced footballer made a statement to RMC about this:
"This is the second time in a row. We faced the same situation last year as well. I would like Premier League officials to take the same step. It's good for them. The league management helps the Paris club to succeed in the Champions League. I hope the Premier League will do the same in the future, or this season, for the teams playing in the Champions League."
It should be noted that the "Lans" - PSG match, scheduled to be held on April 11 as part of the 29th round of the French championship, has been postponed so that the Parisians can better prepare for the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Liverpool on April 14 at "Enfield".
The first match between the parties ended with a 2:0 victory for PSG.
