According to the source, the 27-year-old striker was close to joining the German club "Kaiserslautern" as a free agent. However, the English offer made Emreli reconsider.
It was emphasized that the Azerbaijani forward is wanted by Sergey Yakirovich, who will be appointed as the team's new head coach. Emreli previously worked with this specialist at the Croatian club "Dinamo".
It should be noted that Mahir Emreli last played for the German club "Nuremberg".
