The final matches of the Champions League Round of 16 concluded last week.
Lent.az reports that the eight lucky teams that will continue the fight for Europe's premier competition have been determined.
"Bayern", "Arsenal", "Liverpool", PSG, "Real", "Barcelona", "Sporting" and "Atletico" have advanced to the quarter-finals.
The pairings are as follows: "Real" vs. "Bayern", "Sporting" vs. "Arsenal", PSG vs. "Liverpool", and "Barcelona" vs. "Atletico".
Each of these teams has received an additional 12.5 million euros in prize money for qualifying for the quarter-finals.
To date, these eight teams have earned the following amounts in the Champions League:
"Bayern" – 112.3 million euros;
"Arsenal" – 109.7 million;
"Liverpool" – 109.5 million;
PSG – 105.9 million;
"Real" – 102.6 million;
"Barcelona" – 100.3 million;
"Atletico" – 89.2 million;
"Sporting" – 79.6 million.
As we recall, all of this funding consists of several components, including funds promised for reaching a certain round, as well as bonuses for winning, drawing, or losing matches. In addition, the clubs will later learn the figures they will receive from television rights.
