Some details have emerged regarding Gabon national team footballer Patrick Orfe Mbina, who joined "Sabah". According to Spor24.az, the 25-year-old striker was removed from the squad of Slovenian "Maribor" before coming to Azerbaijan.
The African forward had a problem with the team's head coach, Fedja Dudić. It got to the point that the 43-year-old coach removed the player from the squad.
Orfe Mbina, who also played for "Maribor" in 2024, returned to the club in 2025 after playing on loan for the Portuguese team "Leyriya". He last appeared for the Slovenian team in October last year.
Despite all this, the forward managed to score 4 times in 9 matches in the local championship this season.
It should be noted that "Sabah" has the right to directly transfer the loaned player at the end of the season.
