Another attempt by Azerbaijani national team defender Hojjat Haghverdi has failed.
Idman.biz, referring to Sportinfo.az, reports that the Iranian-born player, who had the option to continue his career in Asia, could not consider the offer from Malaysia.
"Johor Darul Tazim", competing in the local championship, sent him an invitation.
"Johor Darul Tazim", which competed in the Asian Champions League last season, was planning to sign him for 1+1 years.
The parties could not agree on financial terms. Haghverdi demanded an annual payment of around $190,000 from "Johor Darul Tazim", which broke the negotiations.
