"Bodø/Glimt" has set a historical record in the UEFA Champions League.
According to "Report" citing "Opta Sport", the Norwegian representative achieved a unique achievement in the 21st century by defeating Italian "Inter" 2:1 in the return match of the play-off stage (first game - 3:1).
The Scandinavian club became the first team to win 4 consecutive victories against rivals representing Europe's "Top-5" leagues. Before "Inter", the Norwegians defeated "Manchester City" (3:1) and Madrid's "Atletico" (2:1). The last time such a result was shown was in the 1971/1972 season by the Dutch team "Ajax".
It should be noted that "Bodø/Glimt" was a quarter-finalist in the UEFA Conference League in 2022 and a semi-finalist in the UEFA Europa League in 2025.
