Just days before the start of the II Bundesliga, the German Football League (DFL) delivered unpleasant news to the "Herta" club: the team's main jersey intended for the 2025/26 season does not meet league standards and is prohibited from use.
Idman.biz reports that the main design element of the jersey, produced by "Castore" and featuring the club's official colors, is stripes.
This design has created a problem: according to league rules, if there are stripes on the front of the jersey, there must also be stripes on the back. "Castore" and "Herta" did not take this detail into account.
Now "Herta" must urgently change the design of the main jersey – because the first home game is scheduled for August 10.
Interestingly, this is the first time "Castore" has made a jersey for "Herta". The club previously collaborated with "Nike" for 25 years. According to reports, the manufacturer was changed after numerous complaints about the quality of the jerseys.
