Croatian representative "Hayduk" started the match against "Zira" nervously.
"Report" reports that the head coach of "Hayduk" club, Gonzalo Garcia, said this at a press conference after the first match with "Zira" in the II qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
The Spanish expert commented on the match that ended in a draw:
"It was a difficult game for us. We started the match nervously. For this reason, the opponent punished us in the early stages of the match. But in the second half, we were able to take control of the meeting. I expected such a beautiful game from "Zira". I can give your team the name of a dangerous opponent. We want to defeat this team in our home field and advance to the next stage".
He stated that if they lose to "Zira" based on the results of the two matches, they will not consider it a tragedy:
"No, there are defeats in football. We are new to the team. We are trying to change something".
It should be noted that the "Zira" - "Hayduk" match, which took place at the 8th kilometer stadium, ended in a draw - 1:1. The return match between the teams will start on July 31 at 23:00 Baku time at "Polyud Stadium".
