Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been found guilty of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and attempted bribery in Greece.
İdman.Biz reports that, according to journalist Ben Jacobs on social media platform X, the court has handed the footballer a 15-month suspended prison sentence.
The verdict comes after allegations that he was involved in a fight in Greece during a family vacation in 2020. Maguire is expected to appeal the verdict.
The incident occurred in Mykonos. Maguire and his friends allegedly fought with other Englishmen at a local bar. After the police arrived, the defender's group allegedly attacked the officers. As a result of the incident, the footballer and two of his friends were arrested and taken to the police station.
