"Barcelona head coach Hans Flick commented on the heavy 0:4 defeat against "Atletico" in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final. Sport24.az reports that the German specialist said in a statement after the match that he was particularly dissatisfied with the performance in the first half.
"We didn't play well in the first half, we didn't perform as a team. The difference between us was too big. There was no pressing. The first 45 minutes were a big lesson for us.
Flick emphasized that despite the defeat, he was not disappointed with the team:
"I am not disappointed with the team. I am satisfied with the season. We had a lot of injuries. Losing is part of football. It was a painful defeat, but I am proud of my team. We have to learn from this. The opponent was more willing to score, and I want that too. We couldn't do it in the first half. The team is young and I'm not looking for excuses."
Finally, the German specialist said that they have not lost hope of a comeback:
"The worst game was against "Inter". Now we have a chance to come back. It won't be easy, but we will try."
