Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri has received a 4-match ban for spitting at a Leeds fan.
Lent.az reports with reference to foreign media that Burnley defeated Leeds 2-0 at home in the 8th round of the Premier League. After the game, one of the visiting team's fans claimed that Mejbri spat at him.
Mejbri's actions were investigated by the English Football Association (FA) and Lancashire police. As a result, the 22-year-old footballer confessed to his guilt, received a 4-match ban and was fined 15,000 pounds sterling.
In the 2025/26 season, Mejbri played 14 games in all tournaments and provided one assist.
