Inter midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu shared his thoughts on the Champions League final against PSG. He gave a statement to Sky Sport Italia about this:
"In 2023, we lost in the final to Manchester City. After that game, we had time to work on some things and improve them. Now we have more experience and I think the team has really grown. We showed our mentality in several games, especially in the Champions League, by eliminating two fantastic teams, Barcelona and Bayern."
Not only we players, but everyone working here hopes that we will achieve more. We suffer because we missed the championship in the national championship. But such experience helps us to develop. This is our second chance to win in the final. Although we know that PSG is a great team, we will fight to the end.
I had stronger emotions in Istanbul because it was my first Champions League final, but I learned a lot from this experience. I hope we can play better this time.
Like "Bayern" and "Barcelona", we respect all our opponents. We know that PSG is a strong team with a great coach and they want the treble. As in the match with "Barcelona", we must concentrate from the first minute to the last minute and play with our soul."
It should be noted that "Inter" will face PSG in the Champions League final in Munich on May 31.
