According to the source, Mehdi Benatia was supposed to meet with the Senegalese specialist on Monday to finalize the agreement. However, the process has been delayed as the football director resigned on Sunday. The 48-year-old coach waited for the Marseille management to clarify the situation. This uncertainty was only resolved on Tuesday with a statement from club owner Frank McCourt.
It should be noted that it is still unknown whether Habib Beye will be on the bench for the match against "Brest" on Friday.
