Norway's striker Erling Haaland spoke before the Euro 2026 qualifying match against Italy. According to Sport24.az, the Manchester City forward talked about the possibility of his national team achieving great success:
"It's a great honor to wear the national jersey. We have a fantastic generation. Many of the national team players are at their peak. There are many young players who will be at their peak in five years. Many people in the team are improving. It's been a long time, but now I feel like we've cracked the code and found everything we need.
I've been under pressure since I first joined the national team in 2019. But now I'm handling it better. I've become more experienced. We know this is our last match and we will do everything to secure our place in the World Cup. We can get the maximum points and we will try to win."
It should be noted that the Italy - Norway match will be held today and the game will start at 23:45 Baku time. Norway is the leader in Group I with 21 points. Italy is in 2nd place with 18 points.
