Gurban Gurbanov on the State of Refereeing and the Creation of Our Own Refereeing School

- Usually, "Qarabag" dominates the championship, surpasses its rivals and does not fall behind by such a difference in points. In this case, the team should react to the situation in a different way. In this sense, is the team able to react in the current situation as it should? 

- Of course, it does. If the team didn't have character, there would be no results. Because we had an unsuccessful series, then we were able to come back. But there were also times when it didn't work. There were internal problems, many of the players were not in the form we wanted. The players have potential, we are an experienced team. We try to win until the end. "Sabah" is a well-balanced team. "Neftchi", "Zira", "Turan Tovuz" have improved their games, they show stable game and results. We have to be ready for every game. We should try not to give up what is right in order to achieve results. 

- The issue of refereeing is much talked about. To what extent does refereeing affect the current situation of the championship? 

- It may not be right to express an opinion. But what is generally seen from the outside? Referees do not know what decision to make. I don't know if the demand is high, or if there are any new rules in world football. Referees are a bit hesitant. I also have it, sometimes I demand a lot from an inexperienced player during the game. Sometimes you see that inexperience prevents him. He does it right in one, not in the other. There must be a rule. The language of football is one, so is refereeing. Maybe it needs to be fully formed. We must have our own refereeing school. No matter how much Europe says, we must also have our own style, our own laws. Referees seem to be under a bit of pressure. May God help them. Because they are the most discussed, they are under pressure. May God make their work easier.
