"Qarabağ" head coach Gurban Gurbanov spoke about the match against "Shamakhi" within the 9th round of the Azerbaijan Premier League. Sport24.az reports that he commented on the 0:0 draw as follows:
"I wish Aykhan success. It was not an easy game for us. I would like a dynamic game, but unfortunately it didn't work out.
"Shamakhi" generally played well. The coach's work was felt. It is not so easy for us in such games, because the game is stopped a lot. I have always wanted to say this.
In general, referees should be more attentive to games, regardless of who we play with. As soon as every player falls, doctors come, time passes. Referees should also control this, this is not allowed. We want to adapt to Europe, but it doesn't work. This is not in our favor, the pace of the game changes suddenly. This championship needs to be adapted to it.
Players also get angry involuntarily. The referee must control this. I didn't see any serious injuries in any of the fallen. I would have said these things whether we lost or won. You can't stop the game so often.
Thanks to the fans for their great support today. It seems that the championship will not be so easy, we will fight. We could have seen a better game at the end of the game. Unfortunately, this did not happen due to the suspension of the game."
