"Qarabag" players' self-belief helped them win.
"Report" reports that the head coach of "Qarabag" Gurban Gurbanov said this at a press conference after the match against "Benfica" (Portugal) in the first round of the main stage of the UEFA Champions League.
The experienced specialist spoke about the historic victory won away:
"I congratulate my players on this success. We achieved a good victory with a good game. In fact, we could have lost today. Because after the starting whistle, the advantage was on the opponent's side. It didn't seem easy to change the game in our favor. The belief in my players helped us win. Beating Benfica does not mean that they are weak. They are very good at handling the ball. I said at the pre-match press conference that my players would have difficulties. Thank God we won. I wish Benfica success in the upcoming matches."
It should be noted that the "Benfica" - "Qarabag" match ended with a 3:2 victory for the Aghdam representative.
