Football is a favorable area for investment.
According to "Report", this was stated by Gurban Gurbanov, head coach of "Qarabag" football club, on September 23 in Baku within the framework of the First Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2025).
According to him, if there was no stability in Azerbaijan, neither "Qarabag" nor Gurban Gurbanov would exist:
"If Azerbaijan's success in the European Champions League is being talked about today, the responsibility increases even more. As an Azerbaijani, I have always thought that we are promoting our country and that this is our duty. We sacrificed martyrs for the liberation of our lands in the Patriotic War. What we have done is a minor success. I always tell this to my football players".
Q. Gurbanov stated that stability is also needed in football for Azerbaijan to be recognized:
"We are working to achieve even better success in the future. Football is a favorable area for investment."
