Gurban Gurbanov, the head coach of "Garabagh", said that he did not see any problem in not postponing the match with "Neftchi" in the XXI round of the Misli Premier League. Sport24.az reports that the specialist made a statement about this at a press conference.
He touched upon the discussion of the issue on social networks:
"I'm not on social networks. But I have a normal attitude to every event. This is not a topic to make someone right or wrong. We have applied to the Professional Football League (PFL) to postpone the match with "Neftchi". At that time, the opponent could have been "Neftchi" or another team. I don't want to express any opinion. Why did we apply? Because there is such a regulation in the PFL. But it was not postponed. I don't see a serious problem here. They also have their own programs and preparation processes. I understand that. There have been matches that have been postponed or rescheduled before. We don't intend to be angry with anyone because it didn't happen this time. We need to think more deeply and prepare for the games.
G.Gurbanov also touched upon the game they lost to "Shamakhi" (1:2) in the first game of the 1/4 final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup:
"First of all, I thank the fans. They did not leave us alone in such weather conditions. It was our first match in the Cup. It was a serious result for us. We need to prepare more seriously for the return match. I congratulate the opponent. They won a worthy victory."
It should be noted that the "Neftchi" club did not want the championship match with "Garabagh" to be postponed.
