"Football is a favorable area for investment." Sport24.az, referring to "Report," reports that this was stated by "Qarabagh" head coach Gurban Gurbanov on September 23 in Baku within the framework of the First Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2025).
According to him, if there was no stability in Azerbaijan, neither "Qarabagh" nor Gurban Gurbanov would exist:
"If Azerbaijan's success in the European Champions League is being talked about today, the responsibility increases even more. I have always thought that as an Azerbaijani, we promote our country and that it is our duty. We gave martyrs for the liberation of our lands in the Patriotic War. What we have done is a minor success. I always tell my football players this."
Gurbanov stated that stability is also needed in football for Azerbaijan to be recognized: "We are working to achieve even better successes in the future. Football is a favorable area for investment."
