"I congratulate my players. We won a good victory with a good game. We could have lost this game as well. Before the game, the advantage was on the opponent's side. At the beginning of the first half, we were two goals behind, and it didn't seem easy to turn the game around. The belief in my players and not giving up, not quitting the game, the first goal we scored helped us to win. It cannot be said that "Benfica" is weaker than us. They handle the ball well, they play smart football. Just today, my players suffered more, were more eager. We won a great victory. This is our first victory in the Champions League in the history of Azerbaijani football, in the history of the club. I congratulate my players, Azerbaijanis. I wish "Benfica" success in the next game.
