It is unclear whether Icelandic national team player Albert Gudmundsson will be in the squad for the second World Cup qualifying match against France on September 9.
Idman.biz reports this with reference to 433.is.
Albert scored a goal and provided an assist in the Icelanders' 5-0 victory over Azerbaijan, but was injured while scoring. Head coach Arnar Gunnlaugsson clarified the issue.
"We need to see, his foot is twisted. We will assess whether he will be ready for Tuesday in the next day or two. But it was good that he scored. I asked him for a goal in this game and he made a lot of assists," said the head coach.
