Manchester City's head coach Pep Guardiola shared his thoughts on his team's attacking potential and Erling Haaland's form after the draw (1:1) with West Ham in the last round of the Premier League.
Idman.Biz reports that the expert sees the reason for Haaland's inability to score not only in the footballer, but also in the connections within the team.
"The lack of goals hurts us, but it's not just about that. At the beginning of the season, Phil Foden could not be stopped either. It is easy to look for the reason in one or two players, but the main issue is the relationships, harmony and form on the field," said Pep.
Guardiola stated that he believes that the Norwegian striker will return soon:
"Erling knows this. We need his goals, but for that we need to create more dangerous situations. We have to play like we did in the first 20 minutes of the second half. Although we had control in the first half, we lacked sharpness in front of the opponent's goal. Haaland will soon score again."
It should be noted that after this draw, the "cityzens" are nine points behind the leader "Arsenal", although they have one game in hand. In the current season, Haaland's statistics have decreased somewhat compared to previous years - the star striker has only scored three goals in the last 12 Premier League matches.
