Manchester City head coach Jose Guardiola has revealed how much they need Spanish midfielder Rodri.
Lent.az reports that the head coach noted that he wants to bring Rodri back immediately:
"He was one of the best players in the world two years ago and our main player. We won three titles with him and he played in 70 games. We want him to come back immediately. He wants to come back too, I want to protect him. We have to minimize the risks. He wants to come back, and so do I. How can a team suffer for a year and a half without its best player? Everyone would have a hard time. Rodri is a completely different level of player when he is on the field.
But I want him to go through some kind of preparation period first when he comes back. Because after a serious injury like a cruciate ligament injury, the body is not the same as before. But I want him to come back fully healthy."
Rodri suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in his knee in the 7th round of the English Premier League in the game against Brentford and was recovering for a long time.
