Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola has commented on defender Abdukodir Khusanov's progress in learning English.
Idman.Biz reports that he noted the player's improved speech.
"He doesn't speak like William Shakespeare, I admit that. But his English is getting better and better. He understands what we want, what he says. He's constantly getting better. Khusanov is very smart, strong, fast and always finds the right position," Guardiola said on the club's official social media page.
On January 20, 2025, Manchester City officially announced Khusanov's transfer from Lens. The player's contract runs until the summer of 2029. After 25 games in the English Premier League, the team is currently in second place with 50 points, six points behind leaders Arsenal.
