Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola has emphasized that he would be very happy if 31-year-old midfielder Bernardo Silva extended his contract with the club, which expires in the summer of 2026.
Idman.Biz reports that the player will be open to initial negotiations with other teams starting this winter.
"I wish Bernardo all the best. If he wants to stay, I'll be very happy. But I'm not discussing it with him. He's been here for nine years. Bernardo and the club will decide what's best for him," Guardiola said.
The midfielder has been playing for Manchester City since the summer of 2017. During this time, he has won the English Premier League six times. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is 32 million euros.
