Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola answered journalists' question about the toughest opponent in his career after Real Madrid were defeated in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 (1-2 in the first leg, 3-0). Sport24.az reports that Fabrizio Romano reported on this:
"Real" was not my biggest opponent at all. My biggest challenge was Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool.
You may not have noticed it, journalists in Spain... You can't imagine what it's like to play against Liverpool under Klopp. It was a great experience."
It should be noted that Manchester City, coached by Guardiola, stopped fighting in the Champions League after losing to Real.
