Pep Guardiola has stated that he is often criticized for his squad selection decisions after the 0-3 defeat to Real, but he will continue to defend them. Sport24.az reports that the head coach of Manchester City noted the following in his statement:
"It's not the first time for me that it's painful. I have lost in the Champions League many times and in all stages. I have been harshly criticized for my decisions and what happened.
Such things are not new to me. But at the same time, I am still here. And until my last day, I will defend my decisions regarding the squad. I cannot convince you because we have lost and the arguments remain the same.
Now we have a game against West Ham, and then we will have time to think about Real. Go out and play as you need to, and after the game you will see if you have a chance or not."
