Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola spoke about the Spanish team before the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.
Idman.Biz reports that the teams will face each other tonight at midnight.
"The most important thing is that we are improving. I don't think that in the first few years we thought we could beat a historically successful Real Madrid. I have always said that we have been playing in the Champions League for 14 years and these guys have won the competition 15 times. They have more Champions League titles than the years we have spent in the competition. We have to understand this; I don't think we understood it at first. We grew and tried to understand what we are good at. This is our greatest achievement - what we have created at the club," Guardiola told TNT Sports.
It should be reminded that the "citizens" participated in the Champions League for the first time in the 2011/2012 season. The return match with "Los Blancos" will be held on March 17.
