Pep Guardiola has reacted to reports about Rodri's possible transfer to Real Madrid. Sport24.az reports that the head coach of Manchester City noted that he would respect the player's decision:
"Of course, if a player is not happy and wants to leave, the club will not stop him. The club is above everything. But I think Rodri is happy here," said the Spanish expert.
During the national games, Rodri was asked if Florentino Perez wanted to bring him to Madrid. The 29-year-old midfielder did not rule it out.
"It is difficult to reject an offer from one of the biggest clubs in the world," he stressed.
Guardiola added that the club's management wants Rodri to stay in the team:
"The club wants him to stay. I also think it will happen, but anything is possible in football."
