Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola spoke about the team's midfielder Rodri. Sport24.az reports that Rodri continues to regain his form after suffering a severe knee injury in September 2024.
Guardiola is completely satisfied with the performance of the player, who has been regularly appearing on the field in recent weeks.
The experienced specialist emphasized that age is not a problem for Rodri and that it is important for players with his character to stay in the team:
"He becomes wiser as he gets older, understands the game better. There are players who show themselves in important stages, in difficult situations, Rodri is one of them. I'm talking about players like Berni (Silva) and Ruben. It is impossible to achieve the success we have achieved without having such personalities."
It should be noted that the "citizens"' 29-year-old football player is expected to start negotiations for a new long-term contract.
