Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola has expressed his dissatisfaction with the tight match schedule in the English Premier League. According to him, more rest time should be provided between games.
Idman.Biz reports that he said this in an interview with "City Report".
"My request to FIFA and UEFA is this: let there be four days between games, that is, 72 hours. Arrange the schedule as you want, but we cannot play on Saturday and Tuesday evening, or Sunday and Wednesday. The games will be more interesting, injuries will decrease, sustainable development of clubs will be ensured, and players will be happier. There will be no injuries lasting four to five months. I understand that it is very difficult to implement this," said X. Guardiola.
