Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola shared his thoughts after the match against Newcastle United in the 12th round of the English Premier League.
Idman.Biz reports that the match ended 2:1 in favor of Newcastle.
"We did what we could. We wanted to move forward, as we have done in the last two months, but it is not easy to get this result after the international break. There is still a long way to go. The game was intense and both teams had goal opportunities. Cicio (Donnarumma) was just magnificent. We missed chances and then conceded in the second half. Both teams had a lot of chances, but we couldn't get the result," Guardiola said on the club's official website.
After 12 Premier League games, Manchester City has 22 points and is third in the standings. Newcastle United is 14th with 15 points.
