Real Madrid forward Gonzalo García scored a hat-trick in the La Liga matchday 18 against Betis (5:1), thus repeating the rare achievement of the famous former forward Ruud van Nistelrooy in the 21st century for the Madrid giant.
Idman.Biz reports, citing the Opta Sport statistics portal, that Gonzalo García became the second player in the 21st century to score a hat-trick on his La Liga debut while playing for Real Madrid.
Previously, Ruud van Nistelrooy achieved this in September 2006 in a match against Levante (4:1).
This season, Gonzalo has appeared in 18 matches (418 minutes) for Real Madrid, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
