The 25 finalists for the annual "Golden Boy" award, presented to the best young player in Europe, have been announced.
The finalists for the "Golden Boy" award for 2025 are: Pau Cubarsí (Barcelona), Désiré Doué and Warren Zaïre-Emery, Senny Mayulu (all PSG), Arda Güler, Franco Mastantuono, Dean Huijsen (all Real Madrid), Estevão, Jorrel Hato (both Chelsea), Francesco Pio Esposito (Inter), Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ethan Nwaneri (both Arsenal), Kenan Yıldız (Juventus), Jovane Cabral (Sporting), Leny Yoro (Manchester United), Nico O'Reilly (Manchester City), Eli Junior Kroupi (Lorient), Victor Froholdt (Porto), Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray (both Tottenham), Mamadou Sarr (Strasbourg), Jobe Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund).
According to İdman.Biz, Désiré Doué is considered a major candidate for the award after scoring two goals in the Champions League final. Other favorite candidates include Pau Cubarsí and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
The award is given annually to the best player under the age of 21 who plays in European football leagues and has not previously won the award.
Last year's winner was Barcelona player Lamine Yamal.
