The play-off final of the Turkish Amateur League was held between "Mevlanakapı Güzelhisar" and "Istanbul Yurdum Spor." The teams are fighting for a spot in the new division.
According to Lent.a-z, citing foreign media, during the game, "Istanbul" goalkeeper Muhammet Uyanık hit a seagull in the air while sending the ball forward, and as a result, the seagull immediately fell to the ground. At first, the goalkeeper did not realize that he had hit the bird.

Team captain Gani Katan immediately ran to the seagull to provide first aid.

At first glance, the bird looked dead, but Katan started massaging it. Then, as soon as the first signs of life were detected, Katan took it aside and handed it over to the staff.

The seagull survived, and "Istanbul" lost, but won the hearts of its fans.

"We lost the championship title, but it's a good thing to help save a bird's life. It was more important than winning the championship," Katan noted.
