Napoli defender and captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo will undergo surgery soon.
İdman.Biz reports that the footballer suffered an injury in the 23rd round of Serie A in the 2:1 victory over Fiorentina, leaving the field in the 30th minute.
"Taking into account the time required to fully recover from the left knee injury, and in agreement with the club, Giovanni Di Lorenzo will undergo surgery on his left leg in the next few hours to resolve his current condition," Napoli's official website reports.
Giovanni Di Lorenzo has played in all of Napoli's Serie A games this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
