FIFA President Gianni Infantino has said he expects all national teams to participate in the 2026 World Cup.
According to "Report", his comments were quoted by the organization's press service.
According to C. Infantino, FIFA cannot influence geopolitical conflicts, but it is trying to use football as a tool to promote peace.
"FIFA cannot resolve geopolitical conflicts, but we are determined to use the power of football and the World Cup to build bridges and strengthen peace," he said.
The head of the organization emphasized his expectations that the tournament will be held in a spirit of fair play and mutual respect.
C. Infantino added that the tournament schedule has already been finalized and the list of 48 participating teams will be approved soon.
