"I think I've had a lot of important games in my life." Sport24.az reports that these words were said by the former head coach of the Azerbaijani national team, Gianni De Biasi, in an interview with the Albania Live TV channel.
The Italian specialist recalled the match they played against the Serbian team 11 years ago when he worked for the Albanian national team:
"It was a different match. Because they tried to kill us there. We were lucky that we were not seriously injured. Everyone was fine when we left the field."
De Biasi emphasized that the current Albanian national team is better than the team at that time: "Because the current football players play in big clubs. They play in England, Germany, Italy, Turkey. There were few in our time. For example, Ansi Agolli played in "Karabakh"."
It should be noted that Gianni De Biasi was the head coach of Albania in 2011-2017, and of Azerbaijan from 2020 to 2023.
